The gross weight of the coin is 30 millimeters. Individual coins are encapsulated in a plastic covering. The obverse depicts the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing encircled by the characters “中华人民共和国” on top, meaning People’s Republic of China. The reverse of the Panda coin features an adorable scene of a mother panda holding her baby cub as they look at each other with sweet embrace. Both the mother panda and the cub have black arms and black patches around the eyes and ears, while the rest of the body is white.  At the mid-left of the coin, the face value, “10‎元” is engraved. Snowy hilly areas are seen behind the panda. The inscription, “30g Ag .999” is at the top left of the coin running in a clockwise direction.
