Designs inspired by the Canadian wildlife have featured prominently in recent years on gold, silver and platinum bullion, especially coins. According to myth, a white bison is so rare that its birth is deemed a miracle, a harbinger of spiritual healing from Mother Earth. The chances of one being born are estimated at 1 in 6 million.
