From the mid-left section of the coin, the inscription “REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE” is engraved in a counterclockwise manner. The inscription translates to “Republic of France”. The reverse of the French Platinum Franc coin portrays a plant-like structure, fungus; liberty cap, which runs from the top to the bottom of the coin.
