The Australian Silver Kookaburra is a silver bullion coin that was initially manufactured in 1990, the 1 t/oz. the kookaburra is a native bird to Australia. The design of the coin changes annually and are manufactured limitedly. Due to the limited production of the coins and changing of the design annually, the coins have a higher collectible value than some other bullion coins. It is offered in four sizes: 1 oz, 2 oz, 10 oz and 1 kg.

The coin has a diameter of 40.60 millimeters and a thickness of 2.98 millimeters. The coin has an aggregate weight of 31.135 grams and a silver fineness of 99.99%. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen faces the right profile of the coin with a crown on her head, which she wore for her coronation in 1953. She has a beaded necklace around her neck. The name “ELIZABETH II” is engraved from the bottom-left section of the coin to the top of the coin. AUSTRALIA” is inscribed on the right side, from the top-right to the bottom-right. The face value of the coin is engraved at the bottom of the coin, “• 1 DOLLAR •”, counterclockwise. Jody Clark designed the obverse of the coin.

The reverse of the Australian Silver Kookaburra coin displays a kookaburra bird which is perched on a branch during sunset. The branch is submerged in a river, which is lined with wetland grasses and a gumtree. The bird is inclined to the right of the coin, facing the left. “AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA” is engraved at the top of the coin, from the top-left to the top-right of the coin. The year of coinage, the size of the coin and the silver purity of the coin are embossed. For example; “2019 1OZ 9999 SILVER” for the 2019 edition.
